 His name is Junaid bin Muhammad Baghdadi. And his title is Abul Qasim. He is the chief and imam of the Sufis of Taif, may God bless him and grant him peace. You were born and brought up in Iraq, your father used to sell glass, that's why he is called Qawariri. He was twenty years old and had the privilege of being in the company of his uncles Hazrat Sri Saqati, may God bless him and grant him peace, Hazrat Haris Mahbasi, may God bless him and grant him peace, and Hazrat Muhammad bin Ali Kasab, may God bless him and grant him peace.

Hazrat Abu al-Qasim Junaid bin Muhammad al-Baghdadi, may God have mercy on him, said:

 01 Hazrat Faraghani (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Hazrat Junaid Baghdadi (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked who is an Arif. He said, "He who speaks within you and you remain silent."

02 Hazrat Abu Muhammad Jariri, may God bless him and grant him peace, says that Hazrat Junaid Baghdadi, may God bless him and grant him peace, said that we did not acquire Sufism through discussion, but we obtained it by giving up hunger for the world and severing attachment to the most beloved good things.

03 Hazrat Abu Ali Ruzbari (may Allah have mercy on him) says that a person mentioned the people of knowledge before Hazrat Junaid al-Baghdadi (may Allah have mercy on him) and said that the people of knowledge progress and reach the point that they are for goodness and nearness to Allah. Hazrat Junaid al-Baghdadi, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: This word is the word of abandoning actions, and in my view, this is a great sin. Those who have the knowledge of Allah have received deeds from Allah and they return in these deeds like him, and if I live for a thousand years, I will not diminish even an iota of good deeds, except that there is no obstacle for me to reach these deeds. Be done.

04 Hazrat Junaid al-Baghdadi, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, "If you have goods in front of you only in the form of contracts, then do so, that is, adopt simplicity and adopt asceticism."

 05 Hazrat Junaid al-Baghdadi, may God bless him and grant him peace, said that all paths are closed to the people except following the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.

06 Hazrat Abu Umar Amati (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I heard Hazrat Junaid al-Baghdadi (may Allah have mercy on him) say: If a true man turns to Allah for a million years and then turns away from Him even for a moment, he will find what he has found. More than that he wasted.

07 Hazrat Junaid al-Baghdadi, may God bless him and grant him peace, says that a person who does not memorize the Qur'an and does not write a hadith should not be followed in this matter, because this knowledge of ours is tied to the Book and the Sunnah.

 08 Hazrat Abu Ali Ruzabaldi (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Hazrat Junaid al-Baghdadi (may Allah have mercy on him) that our knowledge is limited by the principles of the Qur'an and Sunnah.

  09 Hazrat Abu Husayn Ali bin Ibrahim Haddad (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I attended the assembly of Hazrat Qazi Abu al-Abbas bin Shareeh (may Allah have mercy on him). Seeing the surprise, he asked, "Do you know where I got this from?" So I said this is what Abu al-Abbas bin Shareeh, may God bless him and grant him peace, is saying, so he said, "This is the blessing of the companionship of Hazrat Abu Al-Qasim Junaid bin Muhammad Baghdadi, may God bless him and grant him peace."

 10 Hazrat Junaid al-Baghdadi, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was asked from where he got this knowledge. He said, "I sat in front of this staircase for thirty years." He pointed to a staircase in his house.

  11 Hazrat Abu Ali Daqaq (may Allah have mercy on him) says that he saw the tasbih in the hand of Hazrat Junaid al-Baghdadi, may he have mercy on him. I have reached my Lord.

12 Hazrat Abu Ali Daqaq (may God bless him and grant him peace) says that when Hazrat Junaid Baghdadi (may God bless him and grant him peace) would enter his shop, hang the curtain and recite four hundred rak'ahs, then he would return to his house.

Hazrat Abu al-Qasim Junaid bin Muhammad al-Baghdadi, may God have mercy on him:

Hazrat Abu Bakr Atwi, may God bless him and grant him peace, says that I was with him at the time of Hazrat Junaid al-Baghdadi, may God bless him and grant him peace.

  He died in 297 Hijri.
